Junk car makes we buy, from Toyota to Freightliner
Which car makes do you buy?
All of them. Cash For Junk Cars Northside Chicago Inc buys junk vehicles of every make on Chicago's North Side and in the near north suburbs: Japanese, American, Korean and European cars, motorcycles, RVs and commercial trucks, running or not. The make never decides whether we buy it. The tow is free and you're paid when we collect it.
What are you selling?
Step 1 of 2
Free towing. Paid the same day we collect the car, by Zelle, Cash App or cash.

Japanese makes
- Toyota
- Honda
- Nissan
- Mazda
- Subaru
- Mitsubishi
- Lexus
- Acura
- Infiniti
- Scion
If yours is a hybrid, a Prius or a Camry Hybrid for example, tell us whether the high-voltage battery is still in the car or a shop already pulled it. It changes what we're collecting, not whether we buy it.
A car parked outdoors for months can lose its catalytic converter to theft, whatever the badge says. If yours was cut out, say so on the call; our converter theft guide covers whether to repair first.
American makes
- Ford
- Chevrolet
- GMC
- Dodge
- Ram
- Jeep
- Chrysler
- Buick
- Cadillac
- Lincoln
- Tesla
- Pontiac
- Saturn
- Mercury
- Oldsmobile
- Plymouth
Brands that are no longer built, from Pontiac and Saturn to Mercury and Oldsmobile, are bought the same way as current ones. A 2008 Saturn in a garage off the alley gets the same free tow as a late-model Ford.
Full-size pickups, vans and SUVs are long and heavy, so tell us the body style and whether it rolls. An electric car like a Tesla or a Bolt is welcome too; mention that it's electric and whether the dash shows a battery warning.
Korean makes
- Hyundai
- Kia
- Genesis
If the car came back from a theft with a broken steering column or ignition and no working key, it can still be sold. Our guide to selling with no keys explains what changes at pickup.
European makes
- Volkswagen
- BMW
- Mercedes-Benz
- Audi
- Volvo
- Mini
- Porsche
- Land Rover
- Jaguar
- Fiat
- Saab
Repair quotes on an older European car can run high next to what the car is worth. Before you approve one, run the written-quote test in our blown engine and transmission guide.
Motorcycle makes
- Harley-Davidson
- Honda
- Yamaha
- Kawasaki
- Suzuki
- Triumph
- BMW
- Ducati
- KTM
- Vespa
Motorcycles have their own Illinois title dates, and garage and storage-room pickups need a little planning. See selling a junk motorcycle.
RV and commercial makes
- Winnebago
- Jayco
- Forest River
- Thor
- Coachmen
- Keystone
- Airstream
- Ford E-Series
- Chevrolet Express
- Isuzu NPR
- Hino
- Freightliner
- International
- Peterbilt
- Kenworth
- Volvo
- Mack
Motorhomes are often built by one company on another's chassis, so give us both names if you know them, plus the length. Details are on RVs and campers.
Semis that ran interstate are often titled in another state, which Illinois law expects. Box trucks and semis covers titles, fleet rules and what a heavy pickup needs.
Ready for a number?
Put the year, make and model in the form on this page and pick your title answer, or call (708) 858-5673 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. any day. If it's a hybrid, an electric car, a motorhome or a semi, say so when we call back. You can also read what sets a junk car's value first, or go straight to the offer page.
Questions about makes
- Do you buy every make?
- Yes. Any make and any model year, cars, pickups, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, RVs and commercial trucks, running or not. If yours isn't on this page, it doesn't matter; send the year, make and model through the form.
- Does the make change the offer?
- Somewhat. The offer is based on the specific vehicle: its size and weight, what's damaged or missing, and the parts still on it. Two cars of the same make can get different numbers. Our guide on what sets a junk car's value explains the rest.
- Do you buy makes that aren't sold anymore?
- Yes. Pontiac, Saturn, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Saab and Plymouth are bought the same way as any current make, with free towing and payment at pickup.
